Veteran-Owned Business

Complex organizations rarely have one-dimensional problems

A workforce problem may actually be a leadership problem.

A leadership problem may reveal a structural problem.

A program problem may be rooted in organizational readiness.

GP4I helps leaders see the entire system—and determine what to do next.

About

Dr. Oudrey Hervey has spent more than three decades leading people, organizations and complex missions where failure carried real consequences

His career spans military command, nonprofit executive leadership, global workforce strategy, organizational development, executive coaching, government, emergency preparedness, and international consulting.

Today, as Founder and Principal Executive Advisor of Global Professionals for Impact, he brings those experiences together to help executives strengthen organizations and prepare them for what comes next.

Leadership Tested Across Missions, Sectors, and Environments

Dr. Hervey’s advisory perspective is grounded not only in study but in decades of executive responsibility across military, government, nonprofit, human capital, and international environments.

During a 22-year career as a U.S. Navy officer, he led complex organizations and workforce operations in assignments spanning command, talent acquisition, personnel readiness, training, and global workforce support. His leadership included responsibility for geographically dispersed organizations, multimillion-dollar resources, hundreds of personnel, and mission-critical operations requiring the alignment of people, policy, resources, and execution.

Following military service, Dr. Hervey brought that experience to the nonprofit sector as an Executive Director with a national veteran-serving nonprofit, where he led a multimillion-dollar operation serving hundreds of veterans and oversaw a multidisciplinary workforce delivering housing, employment, counseling, and supportive services. The role required balancing mission impact with organizational performance, human capital, grants, partnerships, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.

His work has also extended internationally. Through consulting and advisory engagements, Dr. Hervey has supported leaders and institutions confronting organizational development, workforce, leadership, and preparedness challenges in environments including Africa and the Pacific. This cross-sector and cross-cultural experience informs his ability to examine organizations as interconnected systems rather than treating leadership, people, strategy, and operations as separate problems.

Across these roles, a consistent theme has defined his career: helping organizations translate mission into human and organizational capability.

Today, he brings that accumulated experience to GP4I clients as an executive advisor—combining the perspective of a former military commander, nonprofit executive, human capital leader, organizational development practitioner, executive coach, researcher, and consultant. The result is a multidisciplinary approach designed for leaders facing problems that do not fit neatly within a single functional area.
